Paul, I recently purchased the Ives, Dent, Kenton mule cart from you on ebay.
In looking back at a piece you sold in March of 2014 that was a Harris mule cart I find that they look very similar except for the driver. As I am trying to learn to recognize manufacturers, what factors would identify it as one more than another? Additionally, since my last note I have used Russ several times and have been very pleased. Thank you for all your help. Emmett

Hi Emmett, thanks for your nice note. I also like Wilkins Horse Drawn Toys. I have some early pieces and I will list them on my web site in the near future. Yes, if you check this thread you will see that I would recommend Russ Harrington for quality cast iron replacement figures. I have just begun to collect a few old toys and would like to add several Wilkins or other makes Doctor’s carts with original figures to my collection. Will you be offering any in the near future? I have a couple already without figures. Are original or replacement figures available from any source?
I greatly appreciate the quality of your postings on Ebay . The pictures themselves are an education no matter what the item,and the descriptions of each item are extremely helpful and trustworthy. Your website has enabled me to develop a visual catalogue.
I have purchased just one item from you so far but hope to do more as I can in the future.

DAKOTApaul:Wilkins pumper arrived in great shape. thanks for the superb packing. To maintain cast iron use a small amount of mineral oil with cheesecloth and rub gently. Use in an inconspicuous area first to make sure no paint “rub off” occurs. Once every year or so is enough. Don’t overdo. Less is better. thanks, Chuck
