Lionel Prewar # 260E Engine & Tender Cream Stripe 1930Here is a great looking Lionel Steam Engine and Tender made only in 1930. This is the black with cream stripe, No. 260E 2-4-2 Steam engine with its No. 260 eight wheel tender. Engine looks to be very good to excellent condition - as seen in the pictures. Not sure what has been done to it, but from observation, let me detail what I see. First, the engine runs smoothly in both forward and reverse. Lights up in the front and underneath. Looks like the railing and stanchions have been replaced. Flags look like reproductions. The paint on the engine is original and shows appropriate wear. Not sure if the drive wheels are replacements or not. Also, not sure if the tender has been repainted in the past. The cream stripe, however, looks original. Some oxidation on the tender frame. Tender wheels look like replacements. I think the pictures tell the story, and if you have any questions let me know. Price: $433 SORRY! SOLD!
