Lionel Gun Metal Gray Standard Gauge No. 400E Loco & Tender

Here is one of Lionel's biggest and best engines in a great color - gun-metal gray. This is the No. 400E 4-4-4 Steam Engine with its matching Tender, all with copper trim. This is a large and impressive piece. Made between 1927-36. This engine looks great and is in very good condition. It has a lot going for it, and some issues. The paint is original, and in very nice shape. The copper trim is all original and looks great. The front boiler plate is a replacement. Also, the steam chest was broken and reglued together with epoxy in two places as seen in the photographs. The side copper chests will also need to be replaced. The tender is exceptional as pictured. Nice and clean with great paint. When put to power the engine worked. Pictures tell the story, and please ask any questions. Don't miss.
