High Grade Union Pacific Diesel Set 1464W w/ 2033 + Passenger Cars

Here is an investment quality Lionel postwar set - the No. 1464W Union Pacific Passenger Set that Lionel made circa 1952/53. This features the No. 2033 silver top twin AA diesel engines. Included are the silver top lighted passenger cars - No. 2421 Maplewood - the No. 2422 Chatham, and the No. 2423 Hillside Observation car. This set features Magna-traction and has the silhouetted passengers in the cars. Condition is outstanding as you can see in the pictures. It is very hard to find this set with nice bright silver as new, and this set has it. Only a couple of things to point out; the back top of the non-powered unit has a small nick on the back edge and a couple of rub spots, on the roof. Also, its decal is missing a little section as seen in the pictures. The passenger cars are really nice. A couple of small scratches in a few places, but really nice bright silver finish. These look like they have been on the track, but most would call these trains unrun. Engine box was opened from the bottom. One passenger car box has tape along the edge, and I see two flaps that have been reinforced with tape. Original paper for the cars. Please ask any questions.
