Original Lionel Girls Freight Train Set # 1587S, 2037-500LT

This set needs no introduction. Made in 1957-58 this is the Lionel Girls Train Set No. 1587S. It features the "pink" No. 2037-500LT loco, with the 1130T-500 tender. It includes the following freights - the 6464-510 NYC Pacemaker Box Car, the 6462-500 NYC Girls pink Gondola with cannisters, the 6436-500 Lehigh Valley lilac Hopper, the 6464-515 MKT Boxcar, the No. 6427-500 PRR Porthole powder blue Caboose. Sorry no boxes. The condition is as seen in the pictures - and I took a lot for you to see all. Overall the set is in very good condition, with some issues. The engine runs well in forward and reverse. It has sone scratches as seen in the pictures. The tender has a broken step in the back, and the wheels are showing oxidation. Both Box Cars are overall very nice. Just a couple of marks. No breaks or cracks. The Hopper has some scratches. The Gondola is showing some oxidation underneath. The Caboose overall looks nice.
