Lionel Prewar No 259E L & T Set, w/1717, 1719, 1722 FrtHere is a great set of Lionel prewar "O" gauge tinplate Trains from the 1930s - The uncataloged set consists of the gun-metal gray No. 259E nickel trimmed loco with its matching No. 01689W Whistle Tender - and the tin lithographed freights - the No. 1717 Gondola - the No. 1719 Box car - and the No. 1722 Caboose. This also includes some rare boxes, which unfortunately are not in great shape - but they are there!The engine measures 9-1/2" not including its couplers, and the cars 9-1/2". I took clear pictures for you to see the condition of the trains - which in my opinion is very good. Condition notes: The engine runs well in both forward and reverse. Red and white lights look great when running. The tender whistles, but makes a lot of noise. The engine is missing some paint in areas. The lithography on the freight cars is mostly shinny and clear. Trucks look good. The boxes are missing some flaps, but I took a lot of pictures for you to see overall condition. And please ask any questions. Don't miss this cool set of early trains. (PS.
