Lionel Postwar Large Freight Set # 2211WS 681 3656 OBS

Here is a nice set of Lionel postwar trains - Set No. 2211WS from 1955. This is a large set that includes the No. 681 6-8-6 "O" gauge Steam Engine with the 2046W-50 "Pennsylvania" Whistle Tender. The set comes with four freights - the No. 3656 operating cattle car set - the No. 3461X automatic lumber car with #160 bin - the 6464-75 Rock Island gold stamped Box Car - the No. 6417 NYZ porthole Caboose. All individual boxes, the UCS, the Operating Manual, and the original Set Box. Everything that is pictured. Overall the set is in very nice condition - as photographed extensively below. Condition notes: there are a couple of things to point out. The 681 engine's rear steps have broken off. I've included them in the set. The engine lights up and hums, wheels turn freely, but did not run. The 681 Box is a hard one to find in this shape. All flaps present, and it includes the original insert. The tender whistles fine. No breaks or cracks. One coupler has a wire holding it together. The Rock Island Box Car has some oxidation on its side rails. Box is in excellent shape. The Cattle Set Box is missing its insert. A flap is missing on the small car box. The 3461 Car has a loose shoe. It is included. One end of the box is missing a flap. The Set Box is real nice looking. One corner has tape on the inside.
