Lionel Train Set # 2383 Santa Fe Diesels 2521 2522 2523

Here is a neat set of Lionel Trains from the 1960s. This was called their Presidential Special or Super Chief Set. It includes the Santa Fe AA No. 2383 Diesels with following Lighted Passenger Cars - the No. 2523 "President Garfield" Pullman Car - the No. 2522 "President Garfield" Vista Dome - and the No. 2521 "President Mckinley" Observation Car. Normally, this set would have another pullman or vista dome car. We have all the boxes for the cars and just one box for the loco.

This is a fantastic looking set, which is in excellent condition as seen in the pictures (please check out all all the photos, as I want you to to see all). The engine runs well in both forward and reverse - the horn has not been tested. There is some corrosion in the battery compartment, but it hasn't spread throughout (see inside picture). The front decals are close to 100%. No breaks or cracks. The passenger cars are all very nice with little wear. The passenger boxes are the rare picture boxes - with the perf.
