Lionel Standard Gauge 385E Loco 385T + 1766 1767 1768

Here is a great original set of prewar Lionel Standard Gauge Trains. This is the "Washington Special" set from the late 1930s which features the No. 385E Steam Locomotive with its No. 385T whistle tender in gun-metal grey with copper trim. This set includes (3) original Lionel/Ives transitional passenger cars - the No. 1767 Baggage Car, the No. 1766 Coach, and the No. 1768 Observation. All done in terra-cotta and maroon. This set has all original paint, is from a private collection - and is in excellent condition. Pictures tell the story. Some condition notes: the engine runs in forward and reverse. Looks all original. Does have a chugger. Steam chest in good condition. Front opens fine. A nice engine! The tender does not have a whistle. No warpage that I can see. The cars are complete. Some scratches and a couple of small dings. Mostly on the Observation - on one side (see pics). Roofs look nice, some wear as seen. Please ask any questions. Don't miss this rare and great looking set for your standard gauge layouts.

Price: $1549 SORRY! SOLD!
