American Flyer # 429 Type XIV Switcher w/ 3212, 3208 +

Here is a wonderful Set of American Flyer prewar "O" gauge trains. From the 1938-40 era. Here is a fairly rare engine - the "O" scale Type XIV 0-6-0 No. 429 Switcher Engine with its matching No. 430 Tender. This Set comes with (4) 9-1/2" freights - the No. 3212 Bordon's Milk Car, the No. 3208 Box Car, the No. 3210 Tank Car and the No, 3211 Caboose. What is interesting about this set is that it has Ives couplers on all the trains. I believe these were added early in the trains career. The engine measures 9" long. In excellent condition as seen in the pictures. All original with no repaints. Cellophane in windows was added. When put on a test track it hums and lights up, but did not run. Wheels turn freely, so it is not a wheel problem. The freights look nice. The Bordon's is excellent with hardly a mark. The tank is also very nice, with just a couple minor scratches. The other two freight show some fading on one side versus the other but look nice. Selling all together as a Set. Don't miss! Buyer pays shipping. Please check out my other items currently listed, and save on shipping. NO RESERVE.
