Lionel Boxed Set No. 1088W w/ 1664 1630 1631 LN/OB

Here is an extremely nice - and rare - set of late prewar Lionel "O" gauge trains. This is Set No. 1088W from 1941. Includes the No. 1664 black locomotive, No. 1689W whistling tender, (2) No. 1630 blue and silver Pullman Cars and (1) No. 1631 blue and silver Observation Car. Includes original 1088W set box. some paperwork, and all individual boxes. This is the version with the blacken journals.

Overall, I believe the trains in this set to be like new. I have not seen cars in better shape. Roofs have bright shinny silver. Only a minor blemish in a couple of places. The boxes grade lower. The Set box is in tattered condition and is missing one inner flap. Individual boxes for cars and locomotive are in very good condition with loose flaps. Locomotive box is missing one set of end flaps but has interior inserts. I believe the pictures tell the story on this fantastic set. Please ask any questions. Don't miss this for your collections.
