Lionel Set # 298W w/ 238E 265W 600 601 602 Passenger

Here is a neat set of Lionel prewar "O" gauge Trains. Set No. 298W "The Pennsylvania Torpedo". Cataloged in 1936-37. The set consists of the No. 238E 4-4-2 Locomotive with it matching 265W Whistle Tender. It pulls (3) illuminated red on red Passenger Cars - the No. 602 Baggage, the No. 600 pullman, and the No. 601 Observation. This set is in excellent overall condition. I took many photos for you to all, and please ask any questions. The Engines runs well and the Tender whistles. All the car light up when on track. The Engine has a small area that has been touched up (see pics). The 265w Tender is really nice. A couple scratches but for this tender a nice example. Not sure if it came this way or not, but the Box is off the coupler. The cars have that wonderful look - and will stand out on any display. I notice a couple places where they have been touched up. Shown on the Baggage car, and the around the back numbers on the observation. I do believe that the roofs are original paint, and I've shown the insides for you to inspect. A great early set of Lionel trains, not to be missed. Thanks.
