Lionel Standard Gauge No. 400E Loco & Tender

Wow! Here is one of Lionel's biggest and best engines. This is the No. 400E 4-4-4 black with copper trim Steam Engine with its matching Tender. This is a large and impressive piece. Made between 1927-36. This engine and tender looks great and is in excellent or better condition. It truly is a fantastic and collectible piece. The finish on this train is beautiful and is all original, The engine is shinny and bright. I see some minor marks in the finish on the top and a small scratch on the back cab roof, but they are very minor (see all pics). Both the front and the back truck wheels show age cracks, and would benefit by some replacements. The front boiler plate is tight into the boiler, and I did not try to get it open. It was put on a test track, and it lights up and hums, but will need some cleaning to run perfectly. The tender is even in better condition than the engine. Super clean wheels, trucks and couplers. This is a train for the collector - don't miss.
