Monkey and Coconut Cast Iron Mechanical Bank

Here is a wonderful original Mechanical Bank. Called the "Monkey and Coconut". Made by The J. & E. Stevens Co., Cromwell, CT. Circa: 1886. Place a coin in the monkey's hand, press the lever, and he'll open the coconut and drop the coin in it. As the coin falls his eyes move and his mouth opens. Wonderful paint on the bank. Eyes look real nice also (a good way to determine condition). The only issue is that he has a hairline crack on his forehead, as seen in the pictures. Works fine. One for your collections.
