High Grade Lionel 2219W Lackawanna Boxed Set

Featured in the July 2010 edition of "Classic Toy Trains" page # 64 (see below for pictures) - Here is a great set of Lionel trains - the No. 2219W Lackawanna Freight Set from 1954. This Set includes the No. 2321 Lackawanna FM Diesel with Dual Motors, Magnetraction and Horn, the No. 6464-50 Tuscan M & SL Box Car, the No. 6415 Sunoco Three Dome Tank Car, the No. 6462 - 50 Green NYC Gondola, the No. 6456-25 Gray Lehigh Valley Hopper and the No. 6417 Pennsylvania n3C Caboose.

This is an unrun Set that is generally in mint condition - no signs of use other than perhaps for display. The Engine, which is especially clean and bright, does have the usual screw hole cracks (obviously factory - just barely visible). The cars are all mint, but like a lot of these sets that have not been used, but stored in a damp place, do show some very minor signs of oxidation. This is evident on the bottom of the tender where I can see some spots, and some on the Tank Car. The UCS is perfect but the wires are dry and brittle. The original set box is good condition, with some staining on one end, and repaired corners on that end. The interior boxes are generally in like new condition. I don't see any missing flaps. If your looking for an unrun Lionel postwar "O" gauge collector grade set - this is it. Don't miss. Enjoy all the pictures.
