Lionel Postwar O27 Freight Set No. 1579S w/2037 6468 ++

Here is the No. 1579S Freight Set that Lionel made in 1957. This is a large freight set that features the No. 2037 2-6-4 Steam Engine and 1130T tender with the following freights - The Nice No. 6468-25 New Haven Double Door Box Car, the No. 6476 Lehigh Valley hopper, the No. 6025 Gulf tank car, a No. 6121 Pipe Car, and No. 6111 Lumber Car, the No. 6112 gondola w/four white canisters and a No. 6017 caboose. Comes with Boxes for the 2037 Engine, the No. 6468 Box Car, and the No. 6017 Caboose. Includes some paperwork, and the nice SET BOX. Overall, this set is in generally in excellent to like new condition - as seen in the pictures. The engine runs in forward and reverse, but would benefit from a nice overall cleaning and lube, like most of these older engines. The Pipe car has some cracks in the pipes. The Gulf Car is really a nice piece. The Engine Box is nice, the New Have Box is missing flaps on one end. Great looking 6017 Box. Set Box is in very nice overall condition.
