American Flyer #5 O gauge Pass. Set w/4677 3171R 3172R +Boxes

Here is a wonderful American Flyer Passenger Set from 1938. Set No. 5 which includes the No. 4677 Locomotive and Tender combination with (4) Passenger Cars - two no. 3171R Cars, the No. 3172R Observation Car, plus and extra 3171R. Engine measures 9-1/4" long, the cars are 8-1/4". Includes the Individual Boxes. Condition is outstanding as you can see in the pictures. I do believe that the Engine and Tender have been restored, but not so sure about the Passenger Cars. They look original - or if redone, they were done extremely well. I took a lot of photographs for you to see all (see below), and will let you be the judge here. One car (second one photographed below) does have a dent on its roof. The wheels and pick-up rollers are very clean. I do believe that the observation deck on the 3172R has been replaced. Boxes are average, missing some flaps. Here is a wonderful prewar American Flyer Set that should not be missed. Thanks.
