Lionel Prewar O Gauge Passenger Set 259 Engine 603 604Here is a neat looking set of Lionel prewar O gauge trains. This is Set No. 242E from 1933/34 (see second to bottom picture below for the set from the 1933 Catalog). This has the appealing passenger car color combination of red with yellow inserts and black roof. The Set includes a 259 2-4-2 Steam Engine and Tender with (3) Passenger Cars - No. 603 and 604. Normally, this set would only include two cars, but we have expanded it to include three. The engine was put on a piece of test track and it ran in both forward and reverse. The engine looks good as pictured. It has some oxidation on the rods. The tender has some oxidation on the top of one side. As well as the coupler and draw bar. Two of the car are original. In good shape as pictured. The roofs do show some alligatoring in the paint. The third car has been repainted and is missing its air tanks. With some TLC you will have a very nice Lionel Set.
