Lionel Prewar # 233 Freight Set w/ 258 257T 902 803 806 ++

Here is a very nice set of Lionel prewar "O" gauge trains. This is Set No. 233 from 1930. The Set includes a 258 2-4-0 Steam Engine with its matching No. 257T Tender. It pulls the following freights - the No. 902 gondola, No. 803 hopper, No. 804 aluminum tank car, the No. 806 stock car and a No. 807 caboose. Comes with individual boxes for the 902, 804, 803, and the 807 - as well as the rare Set Box. I hope you can tell from all the pictures (please scroll down to view all of them) that this is a really nice set in excellent condition for its age. Everything appears original. The engine lights up, runs well in forward and reverse. A few condition notes: the engine has a small bend in the back right cab roof. I left it that way as it is hardly visible. One of the pick-up rollers has been soldered. The tender is clearly stamped underneath with the 257T. The No. 804 Tank call deserves a call out , as it is in really nice overall condition. All the freights look good, with some minor oxidation showing up here and there on the top of the couplers. The caboose has a couple of marks on its side, and is probably the lowest grade of the set. The boxes are missing some flaps - as pictured. The set box is in very good condition. Some small tears starting to show on the corners. A great set for all the prewar O gauge collectors. Don't miss.
