Original Lionel Girls Freight Train Set # 1587S, 2037-500LT

This set needs no introduction. Made in 1957-58 this is the Lionel Girls Train Set No. 1587S. It features the "pink" No. 2037-500LT loco, with the 1130T-500 tender. It includes the following freights - the 6464-510 NYC Pacemaker Box Car, the 6462-500 NYC Girls pink Gondola with two canisters, the 6436-500 Lehigh Valley lilac Hopper, the 6464-515 MKT Boxcar, the No. 6427-500 PRR Porthole powder blue Caboose. This also includes the White Transformer. Importantly, it includes all the individual BOXES. The condition is as seen in the pictures - and I took a lot for you to see all. Overall the set is in excellent condition, with some pieces like new. The engine runs well in forward and reverse. It has some paint wear on the high areas - as seen in the pictures. The tender also shows some wear. Both Box Cars are overall extremely nice. The MKT Boxcar is really like new with some minor wear on the "M" on one side. The rest is virtually mark free. The 464-510 NYC Pacemaker Box Car, does have a few marks, particularly on one end. The Hopper Car does have some fading in a few areas, but overall nice. The Individual Boxes on the most part are very nice. I see a couple of missing coupler flaps, and the Caboose box has some paint specks on one side, but mostly all are very strong (see pics). The Transformer cord has some issues, but the original plug. Has not been tested. Don't miss this one - one for the collections. Please ask any questions, and check out all the pictures. Thanks.
