Lionel Set # 1537WS w/ 2065 6026W 3562-25 3469 6464-275

Here is a neat set of Lionel trains from 1955. This is set No. 1537WS - Freight Set. It includes the No. 2065 Diecast Steam Engine with headlight, smoke and magnetraction, the No. 6026W Whistle Tender, and the following Freight Cars - the No. 3469 Black Operating Dump Car, the No. 6464-275 State of Maine Box Car - white mold, the No. 3562-25 Gray Operating Barrel Car and the No. 6357 SP-Type Caboose. This set includes all the individual boxes, a No. 1033 90-Watt Tranformer and a 6019 track controller. Includes the hard SET BOX. All that is pictured.

Overall the set is in nice condition - as seen in the photographs. The engine has a few paint nicks, but looks real nice. Runs in forward and reverse. Steps intact. The tender is also very nice with just a couple of scuff marks on its sides. Whistle worked well. The freights are overall in very good to excellent condition. (Please check out all the pictures by clicking the link above). There is some slight oxidation underneath some of the car trucks. The Box car has some oxidation on the door railings. The Barrel Car only has two barrels. Both plastic bins for the cars are cracked. The 6019 has brittle wires. Boxes are in very good condition. Some flaps missing and some with tape residue. Engine Box does not have a lining. The 3469 Box is a nice one with its interior lining. Caboose box has some repairs. The set box has the two interior flaps reinforced with glue.
