Outstanding Lionel # 2139W 1947 GG-1 Set w/OBS

Here is a tough early postwar set to find - the No. 2139W GG-1 Freight Set that Lionel offered in both 1948 and 1949. This set is the 1948 version. The Set includes the No. 2332 Pennsylvania Green 5 Stripe GG-1 with Horn, the No. 2458 Pennsylvania Metal Double Door Automobile Box Car, the No. 3451 Operating Log Car, the No. 2456 Black Lehigh Valley Hopper and the No. 2357 Illuminated SP-Type Caboose. This set comes with all the individual Boxes with Inserts, Instructions booklet, inspection slip, FORM 926-25 instructions sheet, Form No. 3451-27 2-48TT instructions sheet, 6019-16 4-48 instructions sheet, 1948-1949 service stations pamphlet, logs, RCS and controller, small tube of lubricant, CTC Lockon, wires, and the rare Set Box.

I believe the pictures (I took a ton so you can see all) detail the outstanding condition of this wonderful set. The engine has nice strong stripes. Typical of these engines the finish on one side has some marks from the original casting. You can see it when you hold the engine at an angle in the light. It shows little wear and run time. A few marks as pictured. The Engine box is brick. Includes all inserts and some wrapping paper. The freight cars are mostly like new. I see very little wrong with these. I believe the pictures detail their overall condition well. Most of the boxes are super. The 3351 has some repairs and does show the most wear. The RCS box is worn. The set box has some tape on the inside bottom corners, and has some wear in the corners. Label nice and clear. Don't miss this set for your collections. I truly collectible set. Buy with confidence.
