Lionel General Frontier Set 1862 1862T 1877 1865 1866Here is a very nice Set of Lionel "O27" gauge postwar trains called "The General Frontier Set". Catalogued in 1959, this set features the 1862 4-4-0 General Steam Engine with headlight, its No. 1862T tender, the No. 1866 mail-baggage car, the No. 1865 passenger car, and the No. 1877 Flatcar with (8) Horses. All that is pictured. This set is in very good overall condition - as you can see in the pictures. The engine looks very nice. All struts/stanchions intact. Tested and it ran in forward and reverse. The 1866 has a tiny chip out of the top roof corner. Has both brake wheels. The 1865 has two scratches on the roof and both brake wheels are missing on the ends. I don't see any chips or cracks. Horse car looks real nice. A very nice set of Lionel Trains - don't miss. And please ask questions before bidding.
