Rare Lionel Set # 2525WS Norfolk & Western 746, 342, 345 6518 OB

With this set you don't know where to start! First and foremost it is a LARGE and extensive set. Secondly, the overall condition is really nice, especially the rare and extremely large Set Box which is uncommon to find in this kind of condition. Cataloged in 1958 - this is Set No. 2525WS. A large six-car N&W Super O Work Train Set. It includes the No. 746 N&W Streamline Steam Engine, the No. 746W N&W long-stripe Whistle Tender, the No. 342 Culvert Loader with the No. 6362 NYC Gondola, the No. 245 Culvert Unloader with the No. 6342 NYC Gondola, the No. 6519 Allis-Chalmers Car, the No. 6518 Die-cast Flat Car with Transformer, the No. 6560 Operating Crane Car and the desirable No. 6419-100 N&W Work Caboose. Has all individual boxes, some paperwork, operating packet, Super O track and the rare Set Box. All that is pictured below.

Overall, this set is in excellent plus to like new condition. The engine is like new. Hardly any runtime. I don't see any marks, just a nice Lionel engine. Runs with no problems. The tender is also very nice. However, there is some wear on the high spots on the sides. No breaks or cracks. 6518 Transformer car is also like new. Wow, a really nice car, bright and shinny. Also, very little runtime. The Allis-Chalmers car is also extremely nice. NO CRACKS on the brake wheels. Looks unrun. The crane car is also very nice. Works fine. The caboose is the rare version with 576419 imprinted on the sides. I do see a small chip on one of the tool boxes. The rare box has the -100 suffix but shows wear and is missing its insert. Both Loaders also are excellent plus. Gondolas look nice and clean. Both packed with there outfits. The Boxes overall are mostly very nice. The engine box is nice and clean. Tender box is the best of the lot - brick with all flaps. The Allis-Chambers box is missing an end flap. The important (and LARGE!) Set box is in excellent condition. Nice and square and firm. All flaps present - sealed on the bottom. A great set - not to be missed. Will be shipped in to separate boxes, hence the high shipping figure. Please ask any questions. Thanks.
