Lionel Prewar # 260E Engine & Tender Cream Stripe 1930Here is a great looking Lionel Steam Engine and Tender made only in 1930. This is the black with cream stripe, No. 260E 2-4-2 Steam engine with its No. 260 eight wheel tender. Engine looks to be very good to excellent condition - as seen in the pictures. Put on a test track and it ran in forward and reverse - and lights up in front and underneath. The tender has the cream stripe and the correct black frame. I have looked closely at the trains, and I believe that they were repainted at one time. Hard to tell, but that's my call. I think the pictures tell the story, and if you have any questions let me know. I'm selling a series of 710 passenger cars in a separate lot that would make a good companion to this engine (see bottom picture). Price: $499 SORRY! SOLD!
