High Grade Lionel 226E Locomotive w/ 2226W Tender NRThis evening I am offering for NO RESERVE some of the components of Lionel Freight Set No. 193W - a rare prewar "O" gauge set from 1938/39 (see bottom picture - this is for the below listed item only). Here is the first item - one of my favorite Lionel Steam Locomotives - the Lionel "O" Gauge 2-6-4 No. 226E steam locomotive, with its matching No. 2226W Whistle Tender. Engine measures 10-3/4" long not including the couplers. The engine is in excellent plus condition - as seen in the pictures (please click the link above to see all the pictures). Can't find much wrong with this one! If you look closely you can see a minor touch-up on the roof of the cab - not sure if this wasn't factory. Also, missing one front headlight jewel. The tender is also extremely nice. This is the harder version with the white stamped lettering. The engine has been tested and it runs well in forward and reverse and cycles beautifully. Lights up underneath. The whistle on the tender also works, with a true whistle sound. I believe the pictures tell the story, however, if you have any questions, please ask. Thanks.
