Lionel Lackawanna Freight Set #2243W w/ 2321 Engine, 6464-300 BOX ++

This is the Lionel No. 2243W "O Gauge" Freight Set catalogued in 1955. This Set includes the No. 2321 Lackawanna FM Diesel with Dual Motors, Magnetraction and Horn, the No. 6464-300 Rubber stamped Rutland Box Car, the No. 6462-75 Red Painted NYC Gondola, the No. 6511 Flat Car with Pipes, the No. 3662 Operating Milk Car Set and the No. 6417-25 Lionel Lines N5C Caboose. Comes with all individual boxes, some paperwork, and the tough to find Set Box.

Overall condition of the trains is excellent - as you can see in the many pictures below. The engine runs well in forward and reverse. It has one little spot of fading wear on the cab roof. One end has a hairline crack down from the screw. The other end looks fine. Has a small amount of residual battery corrosion around the top of the battery compartment. Battery box is clean. Overall a nice engine. Box is also excellent with the correct stamped 2321 X. Does not have an Insert. One end still taped. The Rutland Boxcar looks outstanding. Shows little wear. Box is missing flaps on one end. The No. 3662 Operating Milk Car Set is in very good condition. Car shows some darker fade wear on sides. Some wear to top of stand. Box is missing two interior flaps and has some repaired tears. The 6462 is a nice car. Comes with its original wooden barrels. Box is in poor shape. Missing some flaps and torn. The Pipe car and Caboose are excellent. Boxes in good shape. Unfortunately, the Set Box has seen better days. It has wear through-out. It is all there, but has tears and some repairs.
