Lionel 264E Commodore Vanderbilt Loco w/ 262T Tender + 609, 609, 611 Passengers

Here is a hard to find set of UNCATALOGED "O" Gauge prewar trains from Lionel, Circa 1935-37. This set features the Lionel No. 264E Commodore Vanderbilt Locomotive with its No. 262T Tender in black. The set is pulling (3) light blue/aluminum/aluminum Passenger Cars - No. 609, 609 and 611. The cars come in their original, hard to find, BOXES and Inspection tag. The engine does not have its box. This set is characterized by the fact that the tender and cars have no journals on the trucks. All pieces have the latch couplers. Condition of the set overall is excellent as seen in the pictures. The engine cab has been replaced. However, I believe the paint on the rest of the engine is original. Tender also has its original paint. When put on a piece of test track the engine ran well in forward and reverse. The cars are correct with NO AIR TANKS. And, they are really nice. All original paint. Really nice and bright. A couple of scratches and marks, but overall in excellent plus condition. Nice sharp graphics. Best of all about this set is the Passenger Car BOXES. These are hard to find in any condition. These overall are very nice with all outside flaps. Some of the coupler flaps are compromised and some of the interior flaps have been repaired.
