Lionel 226E Prewar 2-6-4 Locomotive w/ 2226TX Tender NO RESERVE (DP)

This evening I am offering a nice group of trains from Lionel prewar Passenger Set No. 190W from 1939/40 (see bottom picture for the group - this is for the engine and tender only).

Here is one of my favorite Lionel Steam Locomotives - the Lionel "O" Gauge 2-6-4 No. 226E steam locomotive, with a No. 2226TX Tender. Engine measures 10-3/4" long not including the couplers. The engine is in excellent condition - as seen in the pictures. Some wear on the high areas. A couple of small touch-ups to the rail. Looks like the front pilot lens is replaced. The tender is also very nice, however, I'm not sure what is going on with the frame. It does not have a whistle and the frame holes on the bottom look different from the standard whistle tender. I've seen a TX before, so that's what I am calling it. The shell on the Tender is the harder version with the white heat stamped lettering. The engine has been tested and it runs in forward and reverse and cycles fine. Lights up underneath. I believe the pictures tell the story, however, if you have any questions, please ask. Thanks.
