Fantastic Lionel Train Set # 1479WS, 2056 Engine, 2046W Tender, 6462, 6457 BOXES

Here is a very nice set of Lionel "027" gauge postwar trains. Set No. 1479WS from 1952. This set includes the No. 2056 4-6-4 steam locomotive, with its 2046W "Lionel Lines" streamlined whistle tender. Also, included are the following freights - No. 6462 'NYC' Gondola car, the No. 6465 "Sunoco" Tank car, the No. 6456 maroon Lehigh Valley Hopper, and the No. 6257 SP-Type caboose. Additionally, we have the barrels for the gondola, a 6019 controller, a No. 1033 90 Watt Transformer, and inspection slips - all individual boxes and the SET BOX. Condition is clear in the pictures - which some of the pieces are in like new condition and some in excellent plus. The 2056 loco runs nicely in forward and reverse. Front light is out. It has a small ding on one corner of the cab roof. The tender looks like new - whistle clicked but didn't currently whistle (?) The freights all look nice - in like new condition - I don't see any problems. Individual boxes are also in nice overall condition. The engine box does not have an insert. The tender box has one small tear on one flap that has been repaired. One tuck flap on the gondola box has been replaced. Otherwise, all very nice. The controller's wires are still pliable but are getting stiff. The Transformer has its original cord, but I see it is frayed in one area. It has not been tested.
