Rare Lionel No 228 Prewar 0-6-0 Switcher w/ 2228T Tender NO RESERVE (DP)

Here is one you won't find very often. This is the Lionel prewar No. 228 0-6-0 PRR Switcher with its matching No. 2228T Tender. The number 228 is cast in the boiler front plate. The tender is marked "2228T" on the bottom. The Engine Shell is in excellent condition. Some minor wear to the high areas. Nice straight casting. This engine does not have the front operating coupler. When put on a test track it ran in forward and reverse. The tender shell is in very good condition - as seen in the pictures. The railing on the back is apart from the top rail. The tender journals are mis-matched. It is missing one plug. No light inside or light bracket. No relay and relay mounting bracket. Overall, this will need a little TLC, but then you will have a very nice Switcher. Please ask any questions before bidding. Don't miss!
