Lionel Std. Gauge BLUE COMET No. 390E Steam Engine & 390T Tender (DAKOTApaul)

Here is a Lionel BLUE COMET standard gauge No. 390E steam engine with its matching No. 390T Tender. Original BILD-A-LOCO Motor. A hard engine to find. This was the first engine Lionel made for the BLUE COMET set. Offered with the 420, 21, 22 passenger cars in 1930 only. This is for the engine and tender seen in the pictures below - and please click the link at the top of the description to see ALL the pictures before bidding. The engine paint looks original except the stripe on the sides which appears to me to have been touched up. Missing one stanchion, and the others are a little loose. The front boiler plate is stuck shut, and I did not want to pry it open. Was put on a test track and the engine runs. The front bulb is out. The 390T Tender has it sides and stripe repainted. I thinking that the top is original, but I am not sure. Original coal pile. Bottom is original paint with nice 390T stamp. Offering as pictured, and please if you have any questions let me know.
