Lionel 251B Steam 227 Switcher Freight Set 2227B 2954 2955 2957 OB

This is the hard to find No. 251B "O" Gauge Switcher Freight Set that Lionel made circa 1941/42. This Set includes the Lionel prewar No. 227 0-6-0 PRR Switcher with its matching No. 2227-B Bell-Ringer Tender. The engine is pulling (3) semi-scale Freight Cars - the No. 2955 Shell Tank, the No. X2954 Pennsylvania Boxcar, and the No. 2957 New York Central Caboose.This set includes all individual Boxes, and the hard-to-find Set Box. A rare set to find complete like this. The Engine is in excellent condition  - as seen in all the pictures below. Runs well when tested. Has its two front stanchions broken that will need to be replaced. The Tender looks real nice with strong graphics. Its plugs in the front are missing. The Boxcar is like new. Maybe a small mark - that is all. Box is missing flaps. The Tank is in excellent condition with on a small nick in one decal. The Caboose is the best of the three. Very clean. Box has its original wrapping paper. Again missing flaps. The Set Box is very good for this rare piece. Some reinforcement on the insides. Nice and sturdy, with good color. Label is correct and shows some fading. A great set of Lionel Trains - don't miss. Thanks.
