Rare Lionel Set No. 2124W Blk. GG-1 Madison Set w/ (3) 2625s OB

This is the original Set No. 2124 O Gauge Passenger Set that Lionel made circa 1947. This Set includes the rare No. 2332 Black Pennsylvania GG-1 Single Motor Electric with Horn. Pulling (3) same numbered, different named Madison Passenger Cars - the No. 2625 "Irvington" Heavyweight, the No. 2625 "Madison" Heavyweight and the No. 2625 "Manhattan" Heavyweight. This set includes all individual Boxes, and the hard-to-find Set Box and the rare correct "crossed out" passenger car boxes. One of the rarest and most desirable Post-War Sets. The Engine is very nice for a black five-striper. The stripes and numbers are somewhat faded, but still better than most. Has a couple faint oxidation marks in the finish. Original pantographs that are intact. Runs well when tested. The Box for the engine is brick with a nice firm original insert. Someone did write top on one side. The Passenger Cars are some of the nicest I have seen in awhile. Only a couple minor marks keep these from being like new. All light up. Window inserts are curled as is typical of these early cars. Wheels show very little run time. A nice matched set. The Passenger Car boxes all have their original flaps and inserts. A couple have their tuck flap repaired. The 2625 Irvington box has some skinning marks on one side. The Set Box is what you want. Nice and sturdy, with good color. Label is correct and shows some wear around its edges. A great set of Lionel Trains - don't miss. Thanks.
