J & E Stevens Cast Iron "Magic" Mechanical Bank NO RESERVE (DAKOTApaul)

Here is a great early cast iron mechanical bank from J. & E. Steven's in the late 1800s. It is called the "Magic Bank" mechanical bank. The coin is placed on a tray held by the cashier. When you press the knob on the side the door flips around and deposits the coin. Money can also be deposited trough a slot on the roof of the bank. Condition on this piece is as seen in the pictures below - and by clicking the link above. Mechanism works well. Has a harline crack in the roof from one screw. It appears the front arch and front plate may have overpaint. Also, not sure but it looks like the green around the man has been repainted (although not sure, as the man is original paint). Original trap with a replaced screw. Could use a nice cleaning to bring up the original paint. Don't miss this opportunity to own one of these nice rare banks. Offering in AUCTION format (support the auction format!) with NO RESERVE. Buyer pays shipping (Insurance is included in the shipping and handling fees for items over $300). Please check out my other items currently listed, and save on shipping. NO RESERVE.

Price: $831 SORRY! SOLD!
