MINT Lionel Ives No. 1685 Uncatalogued Passenger Car + BOX

Here is a hard to find Lionel No. 1685 red body, maroon roof, and cream doors and trim passenger car. Comes with its original BOX. This car was based on the Ives design and incorporated removable roofs with spring latches. These were never catalogued by Lionel, but were used with a variety of special promotional sets, circa 1933-35. These cars are "O" gauge and measure 12 inches long, and have 4-wheel trucks.This car has the black serif rubber stamped letters. This car is near mint. Looks brand new. I see only one minor mark on the roof. Clean as they come. Box is in nice condition as pictured. If you need an upgrade - this is it! Buy with confidence. Thanks.
