Rare Black Mold Lionel 2023 Anniversary AA Union Pacific Diesels +BOX DAKOTApaulTonight I'm listing a nice set of Union Pacific No. 2023 Alco Diesel AA units - the Yellow Anniversary series. Comes with their original Master Carton. What makes this set unique is that they were painted on the black mold shells. These are the same shells that they used for the rare gray nose versions. Most of the shells are yellow mold. They measures 10-1/4" long not including the couplers. These cars are in excellent condition - as seen in the pictures. They run in both forward and reverse. No corrosion in the battery compartment. And, what is interesting is that someone hot wired the horn so you will not need the battery for operation. Just a couple of notes: The roofs have a rich gray color which is a result of the paint on the black shells. The non-power unit has a nick in the shell on the top front nose in the yellow. The red is strong, however, it has one area where it is faded on the one side of the non-powered unit. No breaks or cracks. The master carton is missing two of the end inserts, and only has one piece od Lionel paper.
