Scarce Lionel # 230 Prewar 0-6-0 Switcher w/ 2230T Tender NO RES (DAKOTApaul)

 

Here is a Lionel Train you don't see very often. One of the hardest of all the prewar switchers to find. The No. 230 0-6-0 PRR semi-scale Switcher with its matching tender No. 2230T. Cataloged 1940-42. The number 230 is cast in the boiler front plate. The tender is correctly marked "2230T" on the bottom. These are in very nice overall condition - as seen in the pictures. The Engine is excellent with strong graphics. Missing one side jewel in the headlight. Correct simulated knuckle coupler in the front. The engine was tested, and it will need a good cleaning and lube before it will run. The tender shows some wear on the high areas. Front wire is brittle and missing any plug.
