Lionel Postwar No. 2358 Great Northern EP-5 Electric Engine

Here is a Lionel "O" gauge No. 2358 Great Northern EP-5 GE Rectifer Engine - made in 1959-60.  Orange and green painted body with three narrow yellow stripes. This engine is a hard one to find, and it looks very good - as you can see from the pictures below. Condition notes: Original shell with replaced decals. Decals are nicely done. Some paint touch-up on the shell sides. Pantographs are original to the train. They have some slight oxidation to them. Clean battery area. The engine ran in forward and reverse when tested, however, it ran sluggishly in forward. will need a good cleaning and lube. I don't see any breaks or cracks on the shell. Overall, a nice train. Don't miss.
