High Grade Lionel #2507W New Haven F-3 Freight Set 2242 6424 3444 + (DAKOTApaul)

Here is the No. 2507W Freight Set that Lionel made in 1958; a wonderful and hard to find F-3 set. This Set includes the No. 2242P/C New Haven F-3 AB Diesels with magnetraction and horn, the No. 6424 Flat Car with two automobiles, the No. 6464-425 New Haven Box Car, the No. 3444 Operating Animated  Erie Gondola, the No. 6468-25 New Haven Double Doors Automobile Box Car, and the No. 6357 Illuminated SP-Type Caboose. Comes with all the Individual Boxes, some paperwork, catalog, and the rare Set Box. All that is pictured in the many photos below. I believe the pictures are clear as to the overall condition of these trains. Overall, I would call the set <B>excellent to like new</B>. The engines overall are very nice - as seen in the pictures below. Some minor rubs in the silver, a small scratch on the nose of the the A unit, some minor wear to the black around the number boards, and a few scratches on one side of the B-unit. The inside of the A-unit is niceand clean (see pics below), however, it has a small spot of oxidation on the bottom (or top depending on how you are looking) of the battery bracket.  Wheels show low run-time. Engine runs in forward and reverse when tested. The Freight Cars are all very clean - in like new condition - with again, very little runtime. The boxes overall are also in excellent condition. The B-Unit Box is missing both end flaps. The A-unit box is missing two flaps. The rest have all flaps and most coupler flaps. Some minor tears to the tuck flaps as expected. The Set Box has some skinning on the top and some on the sides. Overall very nice for this difficult to find Set Box. A great set just like found in 1958. Don't miss - buy with confidence. Thanks.
