Lionel No. 763E Hudson Steam Locomotive w/ 2226W Tender +BOXES

Here is wonderful late prewar Lionel Hudson from 1941-42. It includes the great Hudson black semi-scale No. 763E Steam Locomotive with its No. 2226W whistle tender with simulated knuckle coupler. Comes with original Boxes. This set is in wonderful condition - as seen in all the pictures below. The engine cosmetically looks great. The engine has been serviced and runs well in forward and reverse. The frame looks nice and straight. Cab roof is nice with no bends. Has a replacement front cow catcher and back drawbar pin. Two corrosive spots on cab roof. Missing number plate on bottom on oil pan. The tender is also in very nice original condition. The whistle works, but makes a loud noise typical of these early tenders. Some oxidation on the trucks. Missing the slip show on front truck. Engine box shows wear with stain spots. Has all flaps. Has an insert that is not correct for the box. Tender box is marked "WX" which is incorrect for a "W" tender. Has some tape on the box and shows wear.
