Lionel No. 1505WS 1953 Freight Set 2046 6464-1 +BOXESHere is the No. 1505WS Freight Set that Lionel made in 1953. This set includes the No. 2046 diecast steam engine with smoke, headlight and magne-traction, the No. 2046W Whistle Tender, the No. 6462 Black NYC Gondola, the No. 6464-1 silver Western Pacific Box Car, the No. 6415 Sunoco Three Dome Tank Car, the No. 6357 Illuminated SP Caboose, the No. 6019 remote control track set, operating catalog, and other paperwork. Comes with its Individual Boxes and the Set Box. This set is in great original condition - as you can see in the photographs below. Very little use - and I'm sure just at a few times around the Christmas tree (some of the cars still had the tinsel wrapped in its wheels!). The Engine is very clean and runs great in forward and reverse, smoke works. Tender looks very nice as well. It does have a small patch of oxidation around one trucks underneath, and a patch of roughness on the shell rim underneath (see pics). When tested the whistle clicks but will need an adjustment to whistle properly. The cars all look excellent to like new, with no problems that I see. Gondola includes it barrels. Individual boxes are mostly in very nice shape. A couple are missing a flap, and some of the flaps have been repaired. The set box is similar with some minor skinning as pictured. The 6019 has brittle wires. This is a great looking set, and one for the collection. Don't miss! Price: $599 SORRY! SOLD!
