Lionel Silver Streak Set 279E 265E Commodore Vanderbilt 261TX 619 618 (DAKOTApaul)

Here is a desirable Lionel prewar O gauge chrome Silver Streak passenger Set No. 279E, circa 1935. The Set includes a No. 265E black 2-4-2 Commodore Vanderbilt steam locomotive with nickel trim, a No. 261TX tender with nickel plates, trim and journals, a No. 619 Baggage and Pullman Car, a No. 618 Observation Car, and one vestibule. This is a nice looking set as seen in all the pictures below (and please click the link above to view ALL the pictures before bidding). The Engine has its original cab. Nice original patina. The chrome on the passenger cars is bright and shiny with a couple of minor spots of oxidation on the inside the frames. The 619 also has a small dent on one side. When put on a test track the engine seems to have a e-unit that sticks. Front light is not presently working. This is one for your collections. Please ask any questions. Don't miss. Thanks.
