Lionel Early Postwar Passenger Set # 1402 1666 2466T w/2440/41 Flying Shoe Coupler

Here is a beautiful set of early postwar Lionel Trains - from 1946. This is Passenger Set No. 1402. It includes the 2-6-2 No. 1666 steam locomotive with its matching No. 2466T tender. These are pulling (2) No. 2440 Pullmans, and a No. 2441 Observation Car. The set includes all the individual boxes, an Instruction booklet, and the Set Box. All that is pictured below

What a great looking set. And in wonderful original condition. This is the set where the Engine has the blackened handrail, tender with "flying shoe" couplers and the Passenger Cars that also have "flying shoe" type couplers. The wheels are thick axle with deep dish wheels. And, the cars have rubber stamped lettering. The engine and tender are in like new condition. The boxes are also very nice with only the tender box missing one interior flap. Both have their original liners. The only thing to point out on the cars is that one of the 2440s has a scratch on one end of the roof. The rest really nice. The Boxes are just as nice. All but one coupler flap present. The Set Box has some wear with two of the flaps being replaced. Some glue repair. Great looking set not to be missed. Enjoy all the pictures. Thanks.
