Nice Lionel No. 2289WS 736 Super O 1957 Freight Set

Here is an extremely nice Lionel NO. 2289WS Freight Set made in 1957. This was the first Super O Set, and it includes the No. 736 Diecast Berkshire Steam Engine with Smoke, Headlight and Magnetraction, the No. 2046W Whistle Tender, the No. 3361X Operating Log Dump Car, the No. 6430 Flat Car with Cooper-Jarrett Trailers, the No. 3359-55 Operating Twin-Bin Dump Car, the No. 3494-275 State of Maine Operating Box Car, the No. 6427-1 Lionel Lines N5C Caboose, (2) bins, and some paperwork. 12 pieces of Super O curved track and (3) straights. Individual boxes, and Set Box. Selling all what is pictured below.

What a great looking set! I would say it is in like new condition. The engine and whistle tender work great. The Engine is beautiful. The tender is the correct version with the 2046 number on the sides. Some box surface scratches on the sides of the tender. All the freights look wonderful as pictured. Boxes overall are in excellent condition. A couple of the flaps have been repaired, but most were fine. Set Box is nice and square, has one small corner tear on an inside flap corner. I believe the pictures tell the story well. And if you have additional questions please ask. Thanks.
