Here is a great looking Lionel Postwar O Gauge Freight Set - No. 1601W that Lionel catalogued in 1958. This 027 Gauge Set includes the No. 2337 Wabash GP-7 Diesel, the No. 6800 Flat Car with Airplane, the No. 6464-425 New Haven Box Car, the No. 6801 Flat Car with Boat, the No. 6810 Flat Car with CJ Van and the #6017 SP-Type Caboose. Comes with the Individual Boxes and the hard Set Box. A great looking set in excellent overall condition - as seen in the many pictures (please click the link above to view them ALL before bidding). The Engine ran well in forward and reverse when tested. Nice and clean battery compartment and shell. No breaks or cracks. The freight cars are all very nice also in excellent shape. The airplane car has the harder to find black over yellow variation. Looks like its band is a replacement. The Boxes are worn and missing some flaps. Some of the flaps have been taped. Engine box is missing and a reproduction is included. Set box in very good condition. Some writing but overall nice and firm. A nice set, not to be missed.
