High Grade Lionel Set # 2573 TV Special Freight Set w/ 736 +OBs

Here is a set you don't see very often. From 1961 this is Lionel Super "O" Set No. 2573. Called the TV Special Set - this one is a beauty. The set includes the No. 736 Berkshire Steam Engine, the No. 736W Whistle Tender, the hard No. 3545 Operating TV Monitor Flat Car, the No. 6416 Boat Transport Car, the No. 6475 Pickles Vat Car, the No. #6440 Flat Car with Trailers and the No. 6437 Pennsylvania N5C Caboose. Comes with all Individual Boxes, track, some paper and the rare Set Box. All that is pictured below.

The set is in outstanding, like new condition. Starting with the wonderful looking 736 Engine and Tender. Both the engine and tender are in near MINT - UNRUN condition - as seen the pictures below. The only issue I see is that the oil tube must have at one point leaked in the box and stained it as seen below. The freight cars are all really nice, showing little if any runtime. The Lionel postwar No.3545 TV Monitor Car is a beauty. Complete with a great box. The 6416 Boat Transport Car has its original sleeves for the boats. I did notice that the boats have marks on the bottom. The box is a little faded on one end. The 6440 box has some repairs to the flaps, and a repaired tear. Some tape residue on one end flap. The pickle car  box has a repaired tear to the coupler flap where it attaches to the box. The 6357 Caboose comes in its rare crossed out perf box. It is missing one interior flap. Included is 10 pieces of curve and 4 pieces of straight Super O track. The Set box is nice and sturdy. It has a small tear on one side. This is a set not to be missed. Enjoy all the photos below.
