Lionel Prewar Set # 767W w/ 763E Hudson 263W 2812 2814 2817 + SET BOX

Here is a fantastic set of late prewar Lionel "O' gauge trains. This is Set No. 767W from 1938, 39. This features the Lionel 763E semi-scale gun metal gray Hudson with a No. 263W Whistle Tender. It pulls (4) late postwar tinplate freights, the No. 2814 Box Car, the No. 2812 Gondola, the No. 2815 Sunoco Tank Car, and the No. 2817 Caboose. The set comes with all the individual boxes, the 763 Instruction sheet, some track ties, and the rare Set Box. All that is pictured below.

The set overall is in excellent condition - as seen in the pictures. The engine is a beauty. I don't see anything wrong with this one. Great original paint. Graphics strong. when tested engine ran in forward and reverse. The tender has minor wear, but overall it is clean. Whistle works. The freight cars are also in excellent plus condition or better. The Sunoco car is missing one of its coupler pins.  I believe the pictures tell the story. The cars boxes do show wear, with most of the flaps reinforced with tape. Some missing interior and coupler flaps. The Set Box also shows some repair and taped edges. Front label is there but does show some fading. A hard box to find in any condition. A wonderful set not to be missed.
