Lionel Prewar # 233 Freight Set w/ 258 257T 902 803 806 w/ OBs

Here is a very nice set of Lionel prewar "O" gauge trains. This is Set No. 233 from 1930. The Set includes a 258 2-4-0 Steam Engine with its matching No. 257T Tender. It pulls the following freights - the No. 902 gondola, No. 803 hopper, No. 804 aluminum tank car, the No. 806 stock car and a No. 807 caboose. Comes with all individual boxes - as well as the rare Set Box. I hope you can tell from all the pictures (please scroll down to view all of them) that this is a really nice set in excellent condition for its age. The engine lights up, runs well in forward and reverse. The Engine's front pony wheels have been replaced. Has its original flags in the front. Cowcatcher intact. The tender is clearly stamped underneath with the 257T. All the freights look excellent, with some minor oxidation showing up here and there, particularly on two wheels on the 806 and two wheels on the Caboose. The boxes are missing some flaps - as pictured. The Engine box has been taped, ripped and missing most flaps, but it is the rarest of the individual boxes. The 804 box has some tape on the ends. The set box is only in fair condition. All the corners have been broken out with some repaired. Masking tape on a couple ends. Overall, this is a wonderful set to own. Don't miss. Thanks.
