Lionel # 1464W Postwar Union Pacific Set w/ 2033 2421 2422 2423 (DAKOTApaul)

Here is a great looking all original Lionel postwar set from 1953 - No. 1464W, which features the all silver No. 2033 UNION PACIFIC twin AA diesel engines. The engine pulls the beautiful all silver lighted passenger cars - the No. 2421 Maplewood - the No. 2422 Chatham, and the No. 2423 Hillside Observation car. This set features Magna-traction on the engine with silhouetted passengers in the cars.

 

Overall the set is in excellent condition. A few marks and light scratches keeps this from grading even higher. But it looks great - and runs just as well. When tested the Engine ran smoothly in forward and reverse. Battery compartment clean. Both aprons are nice and strong with no breaks or cracks. Decals are strong close to 100%. All steps present. The only thing I see is a mark on the top near the horns on the non-powered unit. Passenger cars also look extremely clean. All light up. A few tiny rub marks and scratches on the roof of the 2422, and a couple marks here and there. But other than that I see very little wear. A great set that won't disappoint.
